- Hatched: the outlet is state-affiliated or state-controlled
Lean is where the outlet sits in its OWN country's politics, never on one global scale.
Political lean is comparable inside one country and not across them, which is why the bar groups by country first. Publicly funded broadcasters are not marked as state-linked.
Ownership is disclosed, never rated.
AB InBev reported a net profit of US$ 2.39 billion for the second quarter of 2026, representing a 22.6% increase compared to the previous year. Organic revenue grew by 5.6% to reach US$ 16.66 billion. The company expects full year EBITDA growth to be between 4% and 8%.
Global beer sales volumes rose by 1.1%, driven largely by record performance in Latin American markets including Mexico, Colombia, Ecuador, and Brazil. In Brazil, Ambev's net profit rose 24.5% to R$ 3.47 billion, a result attributed to the World Cup hosted in the United States. The company also saw continued revenue expansion and market share gains in the United States across both beer and its Beyond Beer category.
However, performance varied by region. Volumes declined in China due to adverse weather and weakness in restaurants and bars, as well as in Nigeria and South Africa. In South Africa, revenue increased by a mid-single-digit percentage despite falling volumes because consumers traded up to premium brands.
The company is increasingly relying on a strategy of premiumization and the expansion of its no-alcohol beer business, which saw revenue increase by 27%, and its Beyond Beer portfolio, which grew by 44%.
