Arsenal have announced the signing of Brazilian midfielder Bruno Guimarães from Newcastle United. The 28 year old has signed a four year contract with an option for an additional year. British media reports indicate the transfer fee is approximately 75 million pounds, which is roughly 101 million dollars. Guimarães joins the current Premier League champions to reinforce a midfield that includes Declan Rice, Martin Ødegaard, Martin Zubimendi, and Mikel Merino.

Guimarães joined Newcastle from Olympique Lyonnais in January 2022. During his tenure with the Tyneside club, he made 195 appearances and scored 31 goals.
