Political lean describes where an outlet sits within the politics of its own country. It is never a position on a single global scale.

Political lean is comparable inside one country and not across them, which is why the bar groups by country first. Publicly funded broadcasters are not marked as state-linked.

The owner of each outlet is listed as a matter of record, not as a judgement about the outlet.

Brazil reached a new record in oil production during June, totaling 4.475 million barrels per day (bpd). According to the National Agency of Petroleum, Natural Gas and Biofuels (ANP), this volume represents a 4% increase from May and a 19.1% increase compared to June of the previous year. This figure surpasses the previous record of 4.340 million bpd set in April. The pre salt region was the primary driver of the result, producing 3.699 million bpd.

This record comes amid significant volatility in international oil prices driven by tensions between the United States, Israel, and Iran. Concerns over the global supply and the closure of the strategic Strait of Ormuz, which handles about 20% of global oil trade, previously pushed prices above US$ 100 per barrel. Prices later receded to between US$ 70 and US$ 80 as signs of negotiation emerged.

Recent diplomatic friction continues as U.S. President Donald Trump claimed he would suspend attacks on Iran if an agreement on its nuclear program and the reopening of the Strait of Ormuz were reached. The Iranian government denied requesting such a suspension, with the Mehr agency calling the statement a lie and stating that its armed forces remain on high alert. Despite these tensions, investor optimism regarding potential negotiations has pressured prices downward. The Brent reference fell 5.79% to US$ 82.84, and the West Texas Intermediate (WTI) fell 7.23% to US$ 78.55.
