More than 31,000 people, including several members of Parliament, have signed a petition urging British Prime Minister Andy Burnham to launch a public inquiry into the media harassment of Jason Arday. Arday, 41, was the youngest black professor in the history of Cambridge University and a fellow of Jesus College. He was found dead in Battersea, south London, on Friday, August 14. The Metropolitan Police stated that the death is not being treated as suspicious, suggesting a natural death or suicide.
