- A hatched block means the outlet is affiliated with, or controlled by, a state.
Political lean describes where an outlet sits within the politics of its own country. It is never a position on a single global scale.
Political lean is comparable inside one country and not across them, which is why the bar groups by country first. Publicly funded broadcasters are not marked as state-linked.

China has ordered preliminary anti-dumping deposits on pecan imports from the United States and Mexico. Starting Tuesday, importers of US pecans must pay a deposit rate of 54.3 percent. Importers of Mexican pecans face rates ranging from 17.8 percent to 51.6 percent, with lower rates granted to six Mexican firms that cooperated with the investigation. The Chinese Ministry of Commerce stated that pecans from both countries were sold at unfairly low prices, noting that the volume of dumped imports rose by 104.56 percent during the investigation period and that import prices fell by 9.15 percent. The ministry added that while the US embassy participated in the probe, no American producers did. Relevant parties have 10 days to submit written comments before a final ruling is issued. Center leaning coverage framed the move as an additional source of trade friction occurring weeks before an expected summit between President Donald Trump and Chinese leader Xi Jinping. Center-right leaning coverage framed the investigation as a response to Mexico's tariff hikes on 1,400 product categories imposed under pressure from Washington.
How each side framed it
- Centre
- Framed the levies as a strategic escalation of trade friction preceding a high-level diplomatic summit.
- Centre-right
- Framed the measures as a reaction to broader trade pressures and specific tariff hikes involving Mexico and the US.
