- A hatched block means the outlet is affiliated with, or controlled by, a state.
Political lean describes where an outlet sits within the politics of its own country. It is never a position on a single global scale.
Political lean is comparable inside one country and not across them, which is why the bar groups by country first. Publicly funded broadcasters are not marked as state-linked.

China's consumer price index (CPI) rose 0.5 percent year on year in July, marking the third consecutive month of slowing inflation. This figure was lower than the 1 percent recorded in the previous month and fell below analyst expectations, which generally predicted a rate around 0.8 percent. Simultaneously, factory gate inflation, measured by the producer price index (PPI), increased 3.5 percent year on year in July. This represents a 0.6 point decrease from the previous month and a three month low for industrial price growth. One center leaning source attributed the cooling of monthly inflation to the easing impact of the war in Iran.
