- A hatched block means the outlet is affiliated with, or controlled by, a state.
Political lean describes where an outlet sits within the politics of its own country. It is never a position on a single global scale.
Political lean is comparable inside one country and not across them, which is why the bar groups by country first. Publicly funded broadcasters are not marked as state-linked.

CIA Director John Ratcliffe traveled to Moscow on Tuesday for meetings with Russian officials, according to reports from CBS News, Axios, and CNN. The visit was conducted via a Boeing C-17 Globemaster III military transport plane, which flight tracking data from Flightradar24 shows landed at Moscow's Vnukovo Airport around 10:00 a.m. local time after departing from Riga, Latvia. The aircraft had previously flown from Joint Base Andrews in Maryland. A US diplomatic motorcade was also reportedly spotted in Moscow.
Neither the CIA nor the Kremlin officially confirmed the purpose of the visit. Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov stated that he had no information about the flight and that no meetings with US administration officials were planned for the week. This marks the first known trip to Russia for Ratcliffe since he assumed leadership of the CIA under President Donald Trump.
Outlets have offered different interpretations of the visit's context. Some reports suggest the trip may be related to the stalled peace talks regarding the war in Ukraine or a potential prisoner exchange. CNN noted that the visit follows the announcement of Operation Economic Outcast, a US strategy to isolate Iran, which is a strategic trading partner of Russia. Other reports mentioned a concurrent visit by a Vatican envoy to meet with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov.
