- A hatched block means the outlet is affiliated with, or controlled by, a state.
Political lean describes where an outlet sits within the politics of its own country. It is never a position on a single global scale.
Political lean is comparable inside one country and not across them, which is why the bar groups by country first. Publicly funded broadcasters are not marked as state-linked.
The owner of each outlet is listed as a matter of record, not as a judgement about the outlet.

The Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) has issued a 48 hour ultimatum to Rajasthan education minister Madan Dilawar to arrest individuals allegedly involved in an attack on party volunteers in Jaipur. The incident occurred during an inspection of a government school in Rampura Kanwarpura village, which CJP co convenor Ashutosh Ranka claimed has been operating from a buffalo shed for several years. Ranka alleged that BJP workers assaulted the team, smashed vehicle windows, broke phones, and attacked a woman and another member who suffered a fractured hand. CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke stated he would stage a sit in protest if the arrests are not made and school repairs do not begin. Social media videos showed men hitting the team with sticks and throwing rocks at their vehicle.
The BJP has denied the allegations. Minister Jawahar Singh Bedham claimed that Congress workers are using the CJP as a mask to disrupt peace, while Minister Avinash Gehlot described the CJP as a party of anarchic elements. Outlets with a center right lean framed the event as a dispute involving allegations of anarchy and political masking by the opposition. In contrast, an outlet with a left lean framed the event as an assault on a political campaign focused on improving the condition of government schools.
How each side framed it
- Left
- Framed the event as an attack on a team conducting a nationwide drive to improve government school conditions.
- Centre-right
- Framed the event as a conflict where the BJP denies the claims and suggests the CJP is a front for Congress anarchy.
