- A hatched block means the outlet is affiliated with, or controlled by, a state.
Political lean describes where an outlet sits within the politics of its own country. It is never a position on a single global scale.
Political lean is comparable inside one country and not across them, which is why the bar groups by country first. Publicly funded broadcasters are not marked as state-linked.
The owner of each outlet is listed as a matter of record, not as a judgement about the outlet.
Conmebol has temporarily suspended two football matches scheduled for this week following a magnitude 7.4 earthquake that struck Colombia on Monday. The affected games include the Copa Libertadores match between Tolima and Independiente del Valle, originally set for Tuesday in Ibagué, and the Copa Sudamericana match between Independiente Santa Fe and River Plate, originally set for Wednesday in Bogotá. Conmebol stated that the decision was made to ensure the safety of all involved and to show respect for the victims of the tragedy.
The earthquake occurred around 7:34 local time in San José del Palmar at a depth of 96 km. According to the Colombian president, 111 people died and 87 others were injured. In addition to the Conmebol decisions, the División Mayor del Fútbol Colombiano (Dimayor) suspended all local tournament matches for the week to allow professional clubs to focus resources on recovery efforts.
While Conmebol has not yet officially announced the new dates, reports suggest the River Plate match could be rescheduled for August 19 or August 26. The organization expressed deep solidarity and condolences to the Colombian people and the families affected by the disaster.
