  • A hatched block means the outlet is affiliated with, or controlled by, a state.

Political lean describes where an outlet sits within the politics of its own country. It is never a position on a single global scale.

Political lean is comparable inside one country and not across them, which is why the bar groups by country first. Publicly funded broadcasters are not marked as state-linked.

The owner of each outlet is listed as a matter of record, not as a judgement about the outlet.

Companies listed on the Ibovespa are projecting divergent outcomes as a result of the El Niño weather phenomenon. A survey of 76 companies indicates that while some sectors face significant vulnerabilities, others see opportunities for growth. The agrobusiness sector is expected to be the most penalized due to historical droughts in the Center West, which can lead to crop failures. This creates a cascade effect that impacts the financial sector through increased credit defaults and affects transport sectors, specifically railways and waterways, due to lower volumes. Companies such as SLC Agrícola, Minerva, Klabin, Rumo, Banco do Brasil, and Caixa Seguridade have cited these operational risks.

Conversely, the retail and beverage sectors may benefit from higher temperatures. Magazine Luiza reports increased demand for air conditioning and refrigeration products. The Abrava association predicts the climatization sector's revenue will reach R$ 55.62 billion this year, representing a 10 percent increase over 2025. Ambev has also noted that higher temperatures influence demand, with Bloomberg projecting beer revenue in Brazil to reach R$ 43.4 billion by 2026. Additionally, Assaí anticipates that margins could increase due to commodity price volatility and the ability to pass costs through to consumers. Despite these opportunities, the retail sector continues to struggle with high interest rates and family debt, which has led to at least five requests for judicial recovery this year.
