England Secure Test Series Victory Over Pakistan at Lord's

England clinched a Test cricket series victory over Pakistan with a 194 run win in the second match of the tour at Lord's Cricket Ground in London. Pakistan was dismissed for 194 on the fourth day while chasing a target of 389, giving England an unbeatable 2-0 lead in the three match series. This victory marks England's first multi match Test series win in more than a year, following a previous win by an innings and 103 runs at Headingley.

Ollie Robinson was named player of the match for his performance at Lord's, where he took 8 wickets for 35 runs. Robinson's success was highlighted by a 4 for 11 spell during Pakistan's first innings. For Pakistan, Saud Shakeel scored 97 runs in the second innings, though he fell just short of a century when he was dismissed by Josh Tongue. Pakistan captain Babar Azam noted that while the batting was not up to the mark in the first innings, Shakeel showed class and dedication.

Interim head coach Marcus Trescothick stated that England intends to pursue a 3-0 series sweep in the final Test at Edgbaston. Trescothick expressed a desire to maintain a consistent team and keep the hunger to drive forward. He noted that the current four person seam attack, consisting of Ollie Robinson, Jofra Archer, Josh Tongue, and Gus Atkinson, is building potency through shared experience. While the Lord's pitch was described as difficult for batting, Trescothick expects the conditions at Edgbaston to be different and potentially more conducive to scoring.
