Flávio Bolsonaro's Campaign Website Targeted by Thousands of Cyberattacks

The official campaign website of Flávio Bolsonaro (PL) experienced 3,250 attempted invasions within eight days of its launch. According to the candidate's cybersecurity team, the attacks aimed to steal system data or crash the site through simultaneous access overloads. The campaign reported 375,000 access requests intended to take the service offline during a short period. Specifically, 1,198 attempts sought sensitive files such as credentials, keys, and backups, while other attempts tried to gain server control or exploit vulnerabilities. The website provides information on campaign commitments, public acts, government proposals, and promotional materials. The cybersecurity team stated that no systems were compromised and no sensitive files were exposed. They attributed this to a multi layered protection architecture designed for blocking, detection, and containment. One report noted that the Federal Police recently opened an inquiry into the senator's fraudulent affiliation with the Missão party, as well as previous suspicions regarding the use of ghost profiles to attack right wing candidates.
