Gaza Mediators Condemn Israeli Attacks and Call for Ceasefire Compliance

Turkey, Egypt, and Qatar, acting as mediators in the Gaza conflict, issued a joint statement condemning recent Israeli attacks in the Palestinian enclave. The three nations urged Israel to fulfill its ceasefire obligations and avoid actions that could escalate tension. According to one report, the mediators stated that the intensification of attacks undermines regional and international efforts to implement the Comprehensive Plan to End the Gaza Conflict at a critical juncture.

Medical sources reported that at least 16 Palestinians have been killed since Tuesday, while Israel stated it is targeting Hamas militants. The situation follows a regional visit by U.S. envoy Jared Kushner, which concluded without advancing President Donald Trump's plan to end the war. The proposed roadmap suggested a phased disarmament of Hamas alongside an Israeli withdrawal, but Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu insisted that Hamas must fully disarm before Israeli forces withdraw. Hamas has demanded an Israeli withdrawal and disputed the sequencing of the plan.

Since the ceasefire took effect last October, Gazan health officials report at least 1,283 Palestinian deaths, while the Israeli military reports four Israeli soldiers killed.
