- A hatched block means the outlet is affiliated with, or controlled by, a state.
Political lean describes where an outlet sits within the politics of its own country. It is never a position on a single global scale.
Political lean is comparable inside one country and not across them, which is why the bar groups by country first. Publicly funded broadcasters are not marked as state-linked.
The owner of each outlet is listed as a matter of record, not as a judgement about the outlet.
High temperatures and the risk of violent storms are affecting Southern Europe. In Italy, the number of cities under red alert for heat is expected to drop to 19 on Friday and Sunday, according to the Ministry of Health. While a temporary relief is expected due to Atlantic air, meteorologists warn that temperatures could reach 38 to 39 degrees Celsius in Milan and Rome next week, which is 7 degrees above average. Heavy rain and intense thunderstorms are forecast for the Alps and the Po Valley. In Spain, the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) has placed nine autonomous communities on alert for heat, rain, or storms this Sunday. Temperatures may reach 40 degrees Celsius in the Guadalquivir and Ebro areas. Orange alerts for maximum temperatures are in effect for Andalusia, Aragon, the Balearic Islands, and Catalonia, while orange alerts for rain and storms specifically target Aragon. Strong storms with potential hail and high wind gusts are expected in Navarra and northern Aragon.
