- A hatched block means the outlet is affiliated with, or controlled by, a state.
Political lean describes where an outlet sits within the politics of its own country. It is never a position on a single global scale.
Political lean is comparable inside one country and not across them, which is why the bar groups by country first. Publicly funded broadcasters are not marked as state-linked.
The owner of each outlet is listed as a matter of record, not as a judgement about the outlet.

The India Meteorological Department issued a red alert for seven districts in Kerala on Friday morning. The affected areas include Alappuzha, Kottayam, Ernakulam, Thrissur, Palakkad, Kannur and Kasaragod. Forecasts indicate rainfall exceeding 15 mm per hour with wind gusts up to 50 kmph over a three hour period. Educational institutions were shut in several districts, including Ernakulam, Thrissur, Pathanamthitta, Alappuzha, Kottayam, Wayanad, Kannur and Kasaragod.
Floodwaters are gradually receding in parts of Kottayam, Pathanamthitta and Alappuzha, although the Upper Kuttanad and Kuttanad regions remain inundated. Additionally, the Indian National Centre for Ocean Information Services warned of the Kallakkadal swell wave phenomenon. Waves of up to 1.5 metres are threatening sea incursion along the coasts of Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam and Alappuzha until 11.30 am. Authorities have advised residents to avoid beach activities and move away from vulnerable coastal areas.
