India and Uzbekistan Elevate Ties to Comprehensive Strategic Partnership During PM Modi's Visit

India and Uzbekistan have elevated their bilateral relationship to a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership following talks between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and President Shavkat Mirziyoyev in Tashkent. The two nations set a bilateral trade target of 5 billion dollars annually by 2030, an increase from the current level of over 1 billion dollars. As part of the agreements, the countries will establish a framework for the long term supply of uranium from Uzbekistan to India.
