- A hatched block means the outlet is affiliated with, or controlled by, a state.
Political lean describes where an outlet sits within the politics of its own country. It is never a position on a single global scale.
Political lean is comparable inside one country and not across them, which is why the bar groups by country first. Publicly funded broadcasters are not marked as state-linked.
The owner of each outlet is listed as a matter of record, not as a judgement about the outlet.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah announced on Friday that the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) has secured the return of Virender Singh Basoya from the United Arab Emirates. Basoya is accused of being the mastermind behind an international drug syndicate. Shah described the return as a new milestone in the government's zero tolerance policy against narcotics and stated that drug traffickers hiding abroad cannot escape the long arm of Indian law.
In a statement on X, Shah asserted that the Modi government is relentlessly tracking down traffickers and destroying their ecosystem with a ruthless approach. This development follows the June release of the government's Vision Document on Drug Control (2026 to 2029) and the Narcotics Control Bureau Annual Report 2025. This three year national plan involves more than 40 ministries and departments focusing on enforcement, intelligence, prevention, and rehabilitation. Additionally, the Centre is reviewing the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act and the classification of precursor chemicals used in drug production.
