Trump described the situation as a chess match and expressed confidence that it would resolve itself.

Simultaneously, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu rejected a 15 point peace plan for Gaza. The plan, developed by an international Board of Peace, includes the disarmament of Hamas and an Israeli withdrawal from the Gaza Strip. Netanyahu stated that the Israeli army will not withdraw until Hamas is fully disarmed and reaffirmed his opposition to an independent Palestinian state.

In related military developments, the Pentagon has reportedly urged the US defense industry to accelerate the production and delivery of weapons.
