The Israeli military launched several attacks in southern Lebanon on Friday, including the bombing of a structure in Baraashit and artillery fire in the city of Mansuri. In the Baraashit operation, the Israel Defense Forces stated that soldiers identified several suspects who entered a structure in a security zone and posed a threat to troops. The Lebanese National News Agency reported that the target in Baraashit was a residence. No casualties were reported in that specific incident. Additional strikes were recorded in Mayfadoun, Haddatha, and At Tiri. The Israeli military described these attacks as routine. Both reports note that these operations occur despite a June agreement mediated by the United States intended to establish a permanent ceasefire and restore Lebanese sovereignty. Israel justifies the continued military activity by citing security threats and the refusal of Hezbollah to disarm as required by the agreement.
