Political lean describes where an outlet sits within the politics of its own country. It is never a position on a single global scale.

Political lean is comparable inside one country and not across them, which is why the bar groups by country first. Publicly funded broadcasters are not marked as state-linked.

The owner of each outlet is listed as a matter of record, not as a judgement about the outlet.

Every outlet covering this story shares the same political lean; read with that in mind.

The Israeli military closed the West Bank village of Taybeh to non residents on Sunday. According to a military spokesperson, the decision to designate the area as a closed military zone was made to prevent violent attacks by Israeli settlers in the region. The military stated that the order applies only to Israelis and not to Palestinians. IDF soldiers are dispatched to disperse gatherings and detain suspects when violations of the order are reported.

Taybeh is one of the few remaining Christian villages in the West Bank and is home to the Taybeh Brewing Co, which is widely considered the oldest microbrewery in the Middle East. Parts of the village are located in Area B, where the Palestinian Authority manages civil administration while security control is coordinated with Israeli authorities.

Local reports from a priest and Palestinian civil defence firefighters indicate that in June, Israeli settlers obstructed Palestinians who were attempting to extinguish a large blaze near the village. The priest described this as part of an ongoing pattern of intimidation and unjustified violence. Additionally, a U.N. inquiry released on Tuesday found that Israeli authorities were directly involved in settler attacks that have killed, injured, and displaced Palestinians in the West Bank. The Israeli mission in Geneva rejected these findings, noting that the prime minister and president have repeatedly condemned violence against Palestinians.
