Political lean describes where an outlet sits within the politics of its own country. It is never a position on a single global scale.
Political lean is comparable inside one country and not across them, which is why the bar groups by country first. Publicly funded broadcasters are not marked as state-linked.

At least 30 people were killed and several others injured after a massive heap of waste collapsed at the Dar es Salam landfill in Conakry, the capital of Guinea. The landslide occurred shortly after 2 a.m. on Sunday following heavy overnight rains. The collapse buried nearby shacks, destroying several homes and leaving six people critically injured. Rescue workers conducted operations to find survivors among the debris.
Officials stated that the open air dump, which is the largest in the city, had been scheduled for closure on Sunday. While residents had received eviction notices, many families remained in the area at the time of the disaster. Dienabou Toure, the Minister of Territorial Administration and Decentralization, stated at the scene that the government will ensure the remaining families are relocated.
Reports from center left outlets highlighted the economic paradox of the region, noting that Guinea possesses the world's largest bauxite reserves yet remains one of West Africa's poorest countries, with nearly half the population living below the national poverty line.
