A 37 year old man was shot in the chest on Saturday at the Velho Texas Shooting Club in Toledo, Paraná. The victim is currently in the intensive care unit of Hospital Bom Jesus. While one source describes his condition as stable, another reports he is in grave condition.
Security footage shows the incident occurred in the club's administrative area, where the handling of firearms is strictly prohibited. According to police, the victim had been handling a 9mm pistol and left it on a table. A 31 year old man, registered as a Collector, Sport Shooter and Hunter (CAC), then picked up the weapon and accidentally pulled the trigger. The shooter was heard by the Civil Police and released after signing a term of criminal offense for culpable bodily injury.
