Michelle Bolsonaro and Flávio Bolsonaro Reconcile for Campaign Recordings

Former First Lady Michelle Bolsonaro and Senator Flávio Bolsonaro met in Brasília on Tuesday to record campaign materials, marking their first face to face encounter since a public rift in June. Michelle Bolsonaro stated that she has put a stone on the disagreement, noting that no family is perfect and that they have united for the sake of the nation. The tension between the two had previously centered on the formation of the party ticket in Ceará, where Michelle Bolsonaro supported Priscila Costa while the PL party chose Alcides Fernandes. During the meeting, Michelle Bolsonaro reported that she and Fernandes prayed together and that the issue is resolved.

Despite the reconciliation with Flávio Bolsonaro, Michelle Bolsonaro expressed a visceral opposition to the PL alliance with Ciro Gomes for the government of Ceará. She cited a lack of coherence in this alliance because the PDT, Gomes' former party, filed one of the actions that led to the current ineligibility of former President Jair Bolsonaro. Regarding the campaign, Michelle Bolsonaro said she would support Flávio Bolsonaro via social media and the female wing of the party, but she is unsure if she can travel across the country due to her responsibilities caring for Jair Bolsonaro, who is under house arrest.

When questioned about her relationships with Carlos and Eduardo Bolsonaro, Michelle Bolsonaro declined to answer, stating she did not want to polarize and is taking things one day at a time. She also commented on the choice of Alfredo Gaspar as Flávio Bolsonaro's running mate, noting that while she would have preferred a woman in the role, she will support a vice who shows special concern for women and atypical mothers.
