Japanese golfer Miyu Yamashita won the CPKC Women's Open at Royal Mayfair Golf Club in Edmonton, Canada, on Sunday. Yamashita finished with a 23 under par total of 257, which matched the LPGA 72 hole scoring record for the lowest gross score of all time. She secured a wire to wire victory, finishing nine strokes ahead of second place finisher Yuri Yoshida to complete a 1, 2 finish for Japan. South Korea's Kim Sei Young finished third at 13 under par.
Yamashita began the tournament with a course record 62 and closed the final round with a 4 under par 66. The 25 year old golfer earned a winner's check of $412,500. This victory marks her fourth LPGA title in 13 months and her second win of the current season. Yamashita, who is 150 centimeters tall, previously won the LPGA Rookie of the Year award and back to back season titles on the top Japanese women's tour in 2022 and 2023.
