- A hatched block means the outlet is affiliated with, or controlled by, a state.
Political lean describes where an outlet sits within the politics of its own country. It is never a position on a single global scale.
Political lean is comparable inside one country and not across them, which is why the bar groups by country first. Publicly funded broadcasters are not marked as state-linked.
The owner of each outlet is listed as a matter of record, not as a judgement about the outlet.

A 17 year old girl from North Carolina has been charged with murder in connection with a mass shooting at the Islamic Center of San Diego. Sarah Santiago was indicted by a grand jury on three counts of first degree murder and one count of conspiracy to commit first degree murder. Prosecutors allege that Santiago recorded the livestream of the attack and published the shooters' writings.
The shooting occurred on May 18, 2026, when 17 year old Cain Clark and 18 year old Caleb Vazquez attacked the mosque. Three people were killed: Amin Abdullah, Nadir Awad, and Mansour Kaziha. Both gunmen died by suicide. Authorities stated that the shooters exchanged radicalized ideology and left a manifesto expressing hatred toward various races and religions.
According to the indictment, Santiago aided and abetted the murders by agreeing and planning prior to the attack to livestream the event and distribute a manifesto intended to justify the shooting. Prosecutors also allege she sent Vazquez a Sonnenrad patch, which is a neo Nazi and white supremacist symbol, to wear during the attack. During searches of residences associated with the suspects, authorities recovered more than 30 guns, tactical gear, and electronics.
Santiago's attorney, Alan Doorasamy, stated that his client is innocent of all charges. Forsyth County District Attorney Jim O'Neill noted that North Carolina law allows a person to be guilty of a crime even if they did not personally perform the acts necessary to constitute that crime.
