Political lean describes where an outlet sits within the politics of its own country. It is never a position on a single global scale.

Political lean is comparable inside one country and not across them, which is why the bar groups by country first. Publicly funded broadcasters are not marked as state-linked.

Polish authorities have detained a Russian citizen suspected of plotting to assassinate Albert Vasiliev, a Ukrainian rapper known as Kyivstoner. According to reports from RMF24 and RMF FM, Polish security services believe Russian intelligence ordered the hit. Prime Minister Donald Tusk announced the detention on August 13, stating that the intended target held both Ukrainian and United States passports. Tusk noted that this is the first instance of a Russian ordered attempt to assassinate an American citizen on the territory of another NATO country.

Vasiliev, a former member of the band Griby, has lived in the United States and Bratislava since the full scale Russian invasion of Ukraine began. His wife has stated that he provides financial support to the Ukrainian military. The plot follows allegations from Russia's Federal Security Service (FSB) in July, which claimed Vasiliev helped organize a drone attack against a defense enterprise in the Moscow region. The FSB alleged the drones were smuggled through Poland, Slovakia, and Belarus. Vasiliev has denied any involvement in the alleged attack.

One report describes the target as a defense industry entrepreneur who supplied products to Ukraine. The event occurs amid broader concerns regarding Russian hybrid operations and sabotage attacks within Europe.
