President-elect Abelardo de la Espriella has designated Carolina Bazurdo as the new private secretary of the Casa de Nariño and ratified Didier Blanco as the director of the National Protection Unit (UNP). Bazurdo, a lawyer from Ibagué who has worked with De la Espriella for 17 years at his law firm and within the Defensores de la Patria movement, will be responsible for coordinating the presidential agenda and serving as a government liaison.

Blanco's appointment has drawn criticism from both uribismo and petrismo due to his public statements against "gender ideology" and his defense of heterosexual marriage as the sole foundation of society. Critics also point to his social media posts targeting journalists and politicians, including a specific comment directed at La Silla Vacía.

Regarding the broader administration, 15 of 17 ministers have been designated, with the ministries of Labor, Health, and Science still pending. Additionally, while the House has approved De la Espriella's possession in Cali, the Senate vote remains pending.
