- A hatched block means the outlet is affiliated with, or controlled by, a state.
Political lean describes where an outlet sits within the politics of its own country. It is never a position on a single global scale.
Political lean is comparable inside one country and not across them, which is why the bar groups by country first. Publicly funded broadcasters are not marked as state-linked.
The owner of each outlet is listed as a matter of record, not as a judgement about the outlet.
Every outlet covering this story shares the same political lean; read with that in mind.
Russia launched ballistic missiles at Kyiv and other regions across Ukraine on August 27. Several consecutive explosions were heard in the capital around 3 a.m. local time, with debris later found in the Shevchenkivskyi and Podilskyi districts. Explosions were also reported in Zaporizhzhia and the southern city of Odesa. Governor Ivan Fedorov stated that at least three people were injured in the attack on Zaporizhzhia. These events followed a previous day of activity in which Russian forces launched 163 drones across the country. According to the Air Force, Ukrainian air defenses shot down 132 of those drones, while the remainder struck 18 locations.
