Russia's Central Election Commission has removed the Yabloko party from the federal ballot for the State Duma elections. The decision follows a ruling by the Supreme Court, which rejected Yabloko's appeal on August 17. The court had previously ruled on August 10 in favor of a lawsuit filed by the Rodina party. The court found that Yabloko violated copyright laws regarding intellectual property in its campaign materials and committed violations in campaign financing. One source further notes that the party used extremist slogans.

Commission Secretary Natalya Budarina stated that the numbering of the remaining parties on the ballot will remain unchanged. Consequently, the ballot will jump from No. 1, United Russia, directly to No. 3, LDPR.
