- A hatched block means the outlet is affiliated with, or controlled by, a state.
Political lean describes where an outlet sits within the politics of its own country. It is never a position on a single global scale.
Political lean is comparable inside one country and not across them, which is why the bar groups by country first. Publicly funded broadcasters are not marked as state-linked.
The owner of each outlet is listed as a matter of record, not as a judgement about the outlet.
A massive Russian attack involving missiles and drones targeted Kyiv and its surrounding region on Tuesday, killing at least four people and injuring more than a dozen others. According to the Kyiv City Military Administration, three deaths and five injuries occurred within the capital. An additional death and several injuries were reported in Boryspil, located to the east of the city, where a five story residential building and a commercial enterprise were damaged. Ukrainian authorities noted that the strikes included ballistic missiles and occurred as the country began its new school year. This event marks the sixth consecutive day of Russian strikes against the Kyiv region, with some reports highlighting a shift toward the use of high speed jet powered drones. In response, Ukraine launched drone attacks against Russian territory, including the port of Ust Luga in the Leningrad region and targets in Moscow and Samara. Meanwhile, European defense and foreign ministers met in Ireland to discuss strengthening Ukrainian air defenses and the potential use of frozen Russian assets to fund aid. On the diplomatic front, President Volodymyr Zelensky reported constructive talks with representatives of Donald Trump regarding potential visits to Kyiv to advance peace negotiations.
