Several people were injured on Friday afternoon after a man armed with a sword attacked others at Brinell School, a high school in Fagersta, central Sweden. Local authorities and police reported that the incident began around 14:00 local time. Police arrested one man at the scene and stated that there is no longer any danger to the public. Multiple sources, including Swedish media and international outlets, reported that police shot the suspect in the leg during the arrest. The suspect is described by some reports as an 18 year old former student who had previously been convicted of crimes at another school.
