Political lean describes where an outlet sits within the politics of its own country. It is never a position on a single global scale.

Political lean is comparable inside one country and not across them, which is why the bar groups by country first. Publicly funded broadcasters are not marked as state-linked.

The owner of each outlet is listed as a matter of record, not as a judgement about the outlet.

Shein plans to launch its initial public offering in Hong Kong as soon as August 19. The Singapore based company, which was founded in China, aims to raise as much as US$2.8 billion and began gauging investor demand last week. Sources indicate the company intends to complete the process by the end of the month, though the timing and size of the deal remain subject to change.

Reports suggest the company is eyeing a valuation of US$35 billion, with a floor of US$30 billion. This represents a significant decrease from a peak expected valuation of US$100 billion in 2022 and a drop from previous private targets ranging between US$40 billion and US$50 billion. Shein previously considered going public in London or New York, but those plans were derailed by regulatory scrutiny in Europe and the US regarding tax structures and supply chain practices.
