Singer Lauana Prado Gives Birth to First Son, Dom

Singer Lauana Prado gave birth to her first son, Dom, on Friday morning in São Paulo. According to the singer's press team, the baby was born via cesarean section at approximately 7:30 a.m. during the 38th week of gestation, weighing 2.995 kg. Both the mother and the baby are reported to be doing well. The name Dom is of Latin origin, derived from Dominus, meaning Lord or Owner, and is associated with strength, leadership, and authority.

Dom was conceived through in vitro fertilization. Reports indicate that Prado used an international sperm bank to obtain viable embryos, one of which was transferred to her uterus in November of the previous year. Prado and her wife, Tati Dias, celebrated the birth on social media, where Dias described the experience as special. Prior to the birth, Prado shared an emotional letter on Instagram expressing her love for her son and the intensity of her journey to motherhood.

Prado recently recorded an audiovisual project titled Cantos da Casa, which includes a song named Dom as a musical declaration of her maternal love. The couple recently officialized their union in an intimate ceremony in Ubatuba at the end of June, following a brief period where they had announced the end of their engagement.
