Stellantis is recalling 955,000 vehicles because radio software may disrupt the functioning of rear view cameras. The recall primarily affects North America, including 848,000 vehicles in the United States, 83,000 in Canada, and 8,000 in Mexico, with an additional 15,000 vehicles in other markets. Affected U.S. models include various 2026 and 2027 versions of the Chrysler Pacifica, Pacifica Plug-in Hybrid, Voyager, Dodge Charger, Jeep Cherokee, Compass, Gladiator, Grand Cherokee, Grand Wagoneer, Wrangler, and Ram 1500, 2500, and ProMaster. The company intends to resolve the issue via an over the air software update, which allows the fix to be downloaded directly to the vehicle without a visit to a workshop. Stellantis stated it is not aware of any accidents related to this malfunction. Separately, the company recently recalled approximately 20,000 vehicles in France due to a power steering wiring defect that could cause a short circuit.
