Tamil Nadu Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay delivered his maiden Independence Day speech on Saturday at Fort St. George, where he pledged to establish a corruption free government and announced several financial aid increases for veterans and freedom fighters. Vijay, representing the Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) party, equated the removal of corruption to a freedom movement and called for zero tolerance toward bribery.
