Tarcísio de Freitas Comments on Presidential Debate Absences and Political Strategy

São Paulo Governor Tarcísio de Freitas stated on Saturday that the possible absence of President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva and Senator Flávio Bolsonaro from an upcoming presidential debate promoted by Band and Estadão is a matter of electoral strategy. While the governor expressed that he would like to see the candidates present themselves to the voters, he noted that each campaign defines its approach based on polling positions and pragmatism. He emphasized that debates are important for citizens to understand the proposed direction and plans for the country, as well as for building consensus on key issues.

Regarding his political alignment, Tarcísio affirmed that he will be with Flávio Bolsonaro in the presidential race.
