Tottenham Sign Savinho from Manchester City in Record Sale

Tottenham Hotspur have signed Brazilian winger Savinho from Manchester City for an initial fee of 75 million pounds, which is approximately 87 million euros. The deal may include an additional 10 million pounds in add ons. This transaction marks the largest sale in Manchester City's history, surpassing the previous record set by Julian Alvarez's move to Atletico Madrid in 2024. Savinho, 22, has joined the London club on a long term contract under manager Roberto De Zerbi. The player indicated he wishes to be known as Sávio moving forward.

Savinho joined Manchester City in 2024 from the French side Troyes for approximately 30.8 million pounds. During his time with City, reports on his performance vary.
