A television series detailing the life and career of iconic Italian fashion designer Giorgio Armani is currently in development. The project will be directed by Ferzan Özpetek and produced by Lux Vide, with Source 1 adding that Faros Film is also associated with the production.
The series has the approval of the Armani fashion house, which has granted access to archives, clothing, and iconic locations. Director Ferzan Özpetek, who was close to the designer, described Armani as a visionary and brilliant artist who shared passions for cinema, art, architecture, and life.
Lux Vide president Matilde Bernabei characterized Armani as a representative of Made in Italy who rewrote the rules of elegance.
