Political lean describes where an outlet sits within the politics of its own country. It is never a position on a single global scale.
Political lean is comparable inside one country and not across them, which is why the bar groups by country first. Publicly funded broadcasters are not marked as state-linked.
The owner of each outlet is listed as a matter of record, not as a judgement about the outlet.
Every outlet covering this story shares the same political lean; read with that in mind.
Two Palestinians were killed on Friday, August 21, in the occupied West Bank. One individual was killed in Jenin in the north by Israeli army fire. A second Palestinian was killed in the south of the territory. According to reports from ANSA, the second incident involved three Palestinian men from the city of Sa'ir who were stopped by Israeli troops on suspicion of throwing stones at ultra orthodox settlers from the Metzad settlement. During the encounter, the security coordinator of the settlement opened fire. Palestinian health officials cited by the Wafa news agency stated that the shooting killed a seventeen year old and wounded another man.
