Political lean describes where an outlet sits within the politics of its own country. It is never a position on a single global scale.

Political lean is comparable inside one country and not across them, which is why the bar groups by country first. Publicly funded broadcasters are not marked as state-linked.

UK Prime Minister Andy Burnham and other European leaders plan to travel to the United States next month to lobby President Donald Trump to provide Ukraine access to U.S. stockpiles of Patriot air defense missiles. Speaking to Bloomberg in Kyiv on August 24, Burnham stated that he is looking forward to visiting New York in September for the UN General Assembly. This would mark his first trip to the U.S. since becoming prime minister.

The lobbying effort comes as Ukraine faces a shortage of interceptor missiles while Russia continues to target Ukrainian cities with ballistic missiles. Burnham expressed optimism that the shortage is fixable. He also mentioned that European leaders are considering a meeting of a Coalition of the Willing to coincide with the UN General Assembly, though he noted that a solution would likely require significant negotiation.

Burnham's comments followed his first international visit to Kyiv to mark Ukraine's Independence Day. During the visit, he met with President Volodymyr Zelensky and other leaders from the European Council, Moldova, Luxembourg, Estonia, and the Nordic and Baltic regions. Additionally, Burnham announced that Britain will share classified technical information on Storm Shadow and SCALP cruise missiles with Ukraine to assist in domestic production. President Zelensky has also sought licenses to manufacture Patriot systems domestically, a possibility that the Trump administration reportedly planned to discuss with American defense companies.
