Ukrainian Drone Strikes in Russia Kill at Least 11

Ukrainian drone strikes in Russia killed at least 11 people and wounded dozens, according to official reports. Seven people, including three children, died during an attack on a beach in the village of Arkhipo Osipovka near the resort town of Gelendzhik in the Krasnodar region. Approximately 40 people were injured in that incident. Four additional deaths were reported following a strike in the Russian annexed peninsula of Crimea. Other reports indicate five people died and six were injured in a drone attack on an industrial zone in Novoselki, near Moscow, while a 13 year old girl was killed in the Belgorod region.

Russian officials described the beach attack as a deliberate strike on civilians with no connection to military infrastructure. One center right source noted that the governor of Krasnodar initially mentioned falling drone fragments, which often suggests air defenses intercepted the target. A video published by a Ukrainian broadcaster showed a drone under anti aircraft fire before crashing into the beach. One center source added that the strike occurred approximately 25 kilometers from a large estate alleged by opposition figures to belong to Vladimir Putin.

Simultaneously, a Russian attack on a fuel distributor in Kryvyi Rig, the home city of President Volodymyr Zelensky, killed three people, including an eight year old boy. The Russian Foreign Ministry accused Western nations of supporting terrorism by providing aid to Kyiv.
