Ukrainian Drone Strikes Target Russian Industrial Sites and Refineries

Ukrainian forces have targeted several industrial sites across Russia, including oil refineries and logistics centers. The Ukrainian military confirmed an attack on an oil refinery in Orsk, while monitoring channels reported that a primary oil refining unit at the Orsknefteorgsintez refinery was hit. In western Siberia, sources reported that Russia's Sibur petrochemical plant was shut down following a drone attack. In the Voronezh region, drone strikes hit two warehouses belonging to a major company, which the company RWB identified as Wildberries logistics facilities. Governor Alexander Gusev stated that one 49 year old man died from injuries sustained during the attack and two other people were injured. Gusev also claimed that air defense forces shot down 15 drones over the region. Additionally, the Orenburg region experienced a drone attack that led to the closure of an airport. Separate analysis of thermal satellite data from the company Constellr indicated that Ukrainian strikes damaged the main crude oil processing units at refineries in Kstovo and Kapotnya, though the effectiveness of these campaigns remains difficult to assess because Russian authorities do not disclose refinery conditions.
