Vatican Secretary for Relations with States Paul Richard Gallagher and CIA Director John Ratcliffe have traveled to Moscow for diplomatic meetings. Archbishop Gallagher met with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov on August 25, marking the first face to face talks between the Vatican and Moscow since the 2022 invasion.
