Roney Facchini, a Brazilian actor and director known for his roles in "Rá-Tim-Bum" and "Malhação," died on Sunday, October 6, at the age of 73. The news was confirmed by his partner, João Paulo, as well as friends and the Prêmio Bibi Ferreira. According to his husband, Facchini suffered a sudden medical emergency in his car after leaving his apartment garage in São Paulo. He was transported by Samu to Hospital Oswaldo Cruz, where he passed away.
Born in São Paulo in 1953, Facchini had a diverse career across television, cinema, and theater. He gained significant recognition as the patriarch Luís da Silva in the children's series "Rá-Tim-Bum" on TV Cultura from 1990 to 1994. His television work also included roles in "Cheias de Charme," "A Diarista," and "Caras & Bocas" on TV Globo, as well as appearances on Record and SBT. In cinema, he appeared in films such as "Cilada.com," "Vai Que Dá Certo," and "Meu Amigo Hindu." One source also noted that Facchini graduated as a civil engineer from the Escola de Engenharia Mauá in 1977.
