- A hatched block means the outlet is affiliated with, or controlled by, a state.
Political lean describes where an outlet sits within the politics of its own country. It is never a position on a single global scale.
Political lean is comparable inside one country and not across them, which is why the bar groups by country first. Publicly funded broadcasters are not marked as state-linked.
The owner of each outlet is listed as a matter of record, not as a judgement about the outlet.
Apple has unveiled the iPhone Duo, the first foldable smartphone in the company's history. Announced by CEO John Ternus during the company's annual event, the device features a design that allows it to fold like a notebook. When open, the Duo features a 7.6 inch interior screen, while the exterior screen measures 5.4 inches. The device is constructed with a grade 5 titanium frame and a hinge consisting of over 100 components. It is powered by the A20 Pro processor and includes a version of iOS that introduces Split View, allowing users to run two applications simultaneously for the first time on an iPhone. The Duo also supports Apple Pencil with USB-C, a feature expected to arrive later this year.
The device carries a high price point. In the United States, the starting price is 1,999 dollars, reaching up to 3,200 dollars. In Brazil, pre-sales begin on October 16 with prices starting at 21,999 reais. In Chile, the phone will be available starting October 23 with a starting price of 2,499,990 pesos for the 256 GB version. Along with the Duo, Apple also introduced the iPhone 18 Pro and 18 Pro Max.
Market reception varies by region and perspective. In China, the device is trending on Weibo, but some commentators suggest that the exclusive dual-eSIM design could hinder adoption because local carriers require strict in-person identity checks for eSIM activation. Analysts have noted that the Duo may become a luxury status symbol rather than a driver of mass growth, comparing its potential trajectory to the Vision Pro headset or the Apple Watch. Center-left sources frame the launch as a strategic bet to answer criticisms that Apple has lacked significant innovation since 2007. Center-right sources focus more on the technical specifications and the competitive challenge Apple faces against established foldable rivals like Huawei and Xiaomi.
