  • A hatched block means the outlet is affiliated with, or controlled by, a state.

Political lean describes where an outlet sits within the politics of its own country. It is never a position on a single global scale.

Political lean is comparable inside one country and not across them, which is why the bar groups by country first. Publicly funded broadcasters are not marked as state-linked.

The owner of each outlet is listed as a matter of record, not as a judgement about the outlet.

Every outlet covering this story shares the same political lean; read with that in mind.

Apple is releasing iOS 27 and its accompanying operating systems for iPad and Mac on September 14. The update is available for free and is compatible with all iPhones that supported iOS 26, starting from the iPhone 11 through to the newest models, including the iPhone 18 Pro and the iPhone Duo. The rollout begins around 10:00 AM Pacific Time, though the exact arrival time varies by country and time zone. Users can install the update via the software update section in the general settings menu.

Key features of the new systems include the introduction of Siri AI, a personal assistant capable of understanding personal context from emails, messages, and photos to perform multi step tasks. Other improvements include faster app launch times, enhanced AirDrop speeds, and new AI powered photo editing tools that allow for realistic image expansion and element removal. The Safari browser now supports automatic tab grouping by theme and page change monitoring. For iPad users, OS 27 introduces new window management and a persistent menu bar, though compatibility is limited to iPad Pro and Air models from 2020 onwards, the iPad with the A16 processor, and the iPad Mini from 2021.

While the updates are global, some features are restricted by region. Specifically, AI functions are not available to users in the European Union due to regulatory requirements. Additionally, the ability to transfer an e-Sim to a second device is initially limited to the Telekom network in Germany.
