Argentina Files Criminal Complaints Against Oil Companies Operating in Disputed Islands

The government of Argentine President Javier Milei has announced new criminal complaints against oil companies and individuals involved in hydrocarbon activities in the Malvinas, also known as the Falkland Islands. The government has already initiated processes against 45 individuals and legal entities, recently adding 15 more people to the list of those facing sanctions. President Milei previously announced a decree to accelerate sanctions against those extracting oil without authorization from Buenos Aires.
