Argentina Officializes Salary Increases for Domestic Workers Through December 2026

The Argentine government has officialized a series of salary increases for domestic workers through December 2026 via Resolution 6/2026. The agreement, reached by the National Commission for Work in Private Homes, establishes a schedule of monthly increments: 1.9 percent in August, 1.8 percent in September, 1.7 percent in October, and 1.6 percent in November and December. These updates apply to five different worker categories and vary based on whether the employee lives in the home or not.

For September, the minimum hourly rate for general tasks is $3,914.64 for those with retirement and $4,185.94 for those without. Monthly minimums for the same category start at $480,247.85 for those with retirement and $529,261.78 for those without. The highest monthly scale is reserved for supervisors without retirement, reaching $640,641.55 in September.

The agreement also includes a one time non remunerative bonus of up to $20,000, depending on the number of hours worked. This bonus is incorporated into the basic salary progressively: 25 percent in September, 50 percent in October, and the remaining 25 percent in November.
