- A hatched block means the outlet is affiliated with, or controlled by, a state.
Political lean describes where an outlet sits within the politics of its own country. It is never a position on a single global scale.
Political lean is comparable inside one country and not across them, which is why the bar groups by country first. Publicly funded broadcasters are not marked as state-linked.
The owner of each outlet is listed as a matter of record, not as a judgement about the outlet.
At least 40 people were killed during a gang attack in Kenscoff, a commune in the highlands near Port au Prince, Haiti. The attack occurred on the night of Sunday to Monday. While some reports state at least 40 deaths, UN representatives provided a provisional toll of more than 47 dead and 22 injured. Armed men stormed the community, set numerous buildings on fire, and attacked a displaced persons camp located in a church where several people were executed. Mayor Jean Massillon attributed the attack to the group Viv Ansanm, which is classified as a terrorist organization by the United States. Haiti's transitional government has promised to restore security to the area. The country has faced a severe political crisis since the 2021 assassination of President Jovenel Moïse, leading to the displacement of approximately 1.5 million people.
