Political lean describes where an outlet sits within the politics of its own country. It is never a position on a single global scale.

Political lean is comparable inside one country and not across them, which is why the bar groups by country first. Publicly funded broadcasters are not marked as state-linked.

The owner of each outlet is listed as a matter of record, not as a judgement about the outlet.

Rachel Furtado, a 46 year old athlete and director of the Instituto Feliciência, died on Saturday after suffering a sudden illness during physical activity at Parque da Cidade in Brasília. Furtado was training with a running team when she fell ill while walking to her car to retrieve her phone. A fellow student who is a physician discovered her and began resuscitation efforts, which continued for approximately 25 minutes with the help of others. Firefighters and SAMU personnel arrived and continued the efforts for another 49 minutes before Furtado regained a pulse and was transported to the Hospital Regional da Asa Norte. At the hospital, she suffered two more cardiorespiratory arrests and ultimately passed away. The Instituto Feliciência and the Secretariat of Sport and Leisure of the Federal District both expressed their condolences to her family and friends.
